It's fricken' freezin' people! It seriously was warmer in "winter" than it is these past couple of days. It is horrible! Cold weather and rain is not conducive to a co operable three year old, lemme tell you that! We have kinda been couped up the past couple of days. Between my random migraine, Cassidy's stomach bug and the torrential down pour we have been getting we have been camped out in mommy and daddy's room, building forts and watching movies. Cassidy is into the Land Before Time movies right now, good thing there are at least 9 that I know of (thank you Comcast!).
I am please to announce Cassidy still loves her baby sister. The only "tough" time is when Ian comes home after working 50+ straight hours. Cassidy just misses him so much and wants his attention; which leads to her acting out really badly. But she calms down after a little while and Ian is great with making sure Cassidy gets his attention without leaving Zoey out either.
I know how much of a daddy's girl I was (okay, am) I can only imagine what it would be like having to "fight" for his attention. I know I wouldn't have liked it very much. But with all new things, they get easier along the way. The trick is learning how to cope and make changes to benefit each child. Making sure Cassidy gets her special time and Zoey gets hers with both of us is key.

Zoey had her first bottle yesterday! She tooks to it like a champ, naturally. Ian and Cassidy gave her the bottle, which was great. Cassidy really enjoyed helping daddy feed Zoey (she has only been asking to help feed her for the past four weeks!) Which I can not believe. Zo will be 4 weeks tomorrow. The time is seriously flying by. She has been going to work with me which has been great. I give so much credit to stay at home moms, but it is just not for me. Although I do love the free time. I love being able to just go for a walk with the girls, or not feel like I have to rush to the grocery store between work and picking Cassidy up (lets face it, going grocery shopping with one child is tough...two children is just plain scary!). Zoey is starting to really stretch out. It's crazy how long she already is, you don't realize it when they are brand new because they are still all bunched up. Not anymore, she stretches those legs out! That and she is finding herself in the mirror above her swing. She just stares at it and starts to coo. So cute. I remember when Cassidy first did that.
I am getting very eager for my 6 week check up. I am actually itching to work out (weird right?). I am determined to loose all my extra weight, for real this time. After Cassidy I just didn't care but this time I am ready to go back to what I was or as close to that as possible. I have some personal training classes with Corey and I am really excited to use them. Motivation is essential and this time I have it. Let's just hope it stays!
