Just kidding about that last one, sorta. Five Years. Its funny, seems like we have been together forever sometimes, and others like it was just a day ago we got together. We have been through SO much these past five years. Ups and downs like any relationship, but harder tests as well. We both had obstacles to overcome and our love was constantly put to the test in the first few years, but now it just seems so easy, so effortless. (knocking on wood right about now) We are very lucky to have one another, our love runs deep and we honestly work hard and together to keep our family supported and happy. We have two beautiful, smart, talented, funny, did I mention beautiful? daughters that mean the world to us. We have pledged to each other no matter WHAT, our kids come first. We both have high expectations of each other to give our kids what we had or what we didn't have. It's just the beginning, but we are doing a great job so far! I just wish he had a job that he could be home more. I'm so envious of women who's husbands are home every night. That must be awesome. But alas in the restaurant business that is not feasible...yet.
So the girls and I had a spectacular weekend! We played outside as much as we could, went for walks, played bubbles and even went for our first swim today at big Grampa's pool. That was nice. It was a HOT weekend. Graden, Gunkle and Auntie Caitlin met us at the pool and we all got to swim together. Cassidy had a blast! I can not believe how big everyone is getting. They are seriously not babies anymore. And with Zoey coming it just proves it anymore. Cassidy and Graden are big kids now. And they will certainly let you know it!
Molly and Cody came down to visit us this weekend too. That was great. I really miss them. If I could convince Ian I would move closer to them, maybe even live in Vermont again. They are just such great people and being around them just makes me super happy. Mols and I have had so many great memories together, and Cody too, we just sit and reminisce. College, trips to Providence and good old Cape Cod Summer nights. Ahhh the good old days!!
As much as I miss things from my past, the present and the future are so exciting to think about. Just me and my family and seriously the best friends a gal could ask for. That's all I need. Hello Summer 2012, you're gonna be a great one :)
