Off the Charts

Today Zoey had a five week appointment. I was excited and a tid bit anxious at the same time. Excited to find out how much she weights, her height and amaze Dr. Zito with how adorable she is, but anxious because she was going to have to get a shot...dun dun dunnn.

The shot part was horrible. Not as bad as when Cassidy had her first shot 3.5 years ago (yes, 3.5 years, jesus christmas...). I sobbed like a baby when she started crying. She had never cried like that EVER. Zoey on the other hand, haha. I have heard her scream. When she is hungry she is HUN-GRY. It's kind of cute, she gets a squared shaped mouth (like her daddy used to) and she turns kind of purple with her eye brows, nose and mouth turning white. My little screaming blueberry <3

BUT the fun part was uber fun! I told Dr. Zito how Zoey has been rolling over, in which she was shocked. She was also surprised in how much Zoey was talking and smiling. Zoey literally didnt stop talking the whole appointment. At one point Dr. Zito was looking at her and said "Hi Zoey" in which Zoey replied with "Hi". Dr. Zito looked at me and said "I'm going to write that down in her chart". Obviously she didn't know what she was saying, but it was amazing to both me and Dr. Zito how well she is mimicking people. Zoey does have large shoes to fill with her sister, she is just starting early I suppose! Dr. Zito was laughing and said "Zoey just doesn't realize she is only five weeks old!" It is so true though, everything she does is way ahead of what Cassidy was doing, and Cassidy did things way early as well. As for weight and height...well obviously she was Off the Charts! She was 100% for heigh at 22 1/4" and WAY off the charts at 13lbs3oz. My little big girl! Watching the scale as she was laying in it was hilarious, 11, 12...13!??!?! I could not believe it!
Sisters. They make our lives amazing.

I have my 6 week checkup tomorrow. I am really excited about it. Make sure everything is okay (which I am sure it is) and get everything on track to getting everything back to the way it was. Except, time to really lose this extra weight. For real this time. I just have to learn how to diet and exercise the right way. My issue is I was always fit without doing anything. So this is all new to me. But I am going to do it this time. Get back to pre, PRE pregnancy :)

Summer is so much fun so far. Spending time with cousins and family is great for the girls. I want to make sure they have great relationships with their family and cousins. I grew up with a really close family and I want them to have the same. We spent some time with my grandparents today and it was a lot of fun. Cassidy acted shy at first which is her new thing (I don't know who she is trying to fool) but then really started to open up (about two mins later after she realized grandma had bananas...) and have a good time with them. She was making them laugh and smile so much. They were holding Zoey and kissing her head and just reminiscing with eachother on doing that to me and even with my dad. For some reason seeing them today, something hit me. My grandparents are getting older. Thinking back to when I was a little older than Cassidy my grandpa was so active with me, swimming and letting me ride his back like a whale, playing baseball, cooking with my grandma...twenty years ago. Time is flying by. Having kids just makes that even more apparent. I want to enjoy my family and have my girls enjoy their family. Because unfortunately, time is fleeting, and not everyone will be around forever.
